About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.

Honestly, this place is below average. While not nasty or gross or anything, I was really not impressed. Service was good, but I suppose that is the one redeeming quality of this place. The food selection is good, but all of it is Over priced. Take what you would expect to pay at Denny's and add 1 or 2 dollars or more. We got fried Zuccinni for an appetizer. Not very crispy, and kinda soggy with oil. The apple dumpling was good for dessert. Not Amazing, but good. If you have a choice go somewhere else, this place just isn't worth the money. Almost ten bucks for a Philly Cheese steak sandwich? Eight bucks for plain Burger? We aren't in downtown Manhattan. I think the price model here is for One time customers who are too embarrassed to walk out after they see the prices. Before I forget, the silverware wasn't exactly glistening. In fact a piece of napkin was stuck to my fork when I sat down. It wasn't from my napkin either. The only reason I give 2 stars is because it the staff was reasonable, otherwise, one star would be a gift.

The place needed a good cleaning to remove greasy smears from the booth walls and crumbs from the seat cracks. Fast friendly service. Acceptable coffee topped off often. But the duct taped handle on the front door needs to be fixed.

We shared breakfast here with my dad a little over a year ago. At that time it was good. Food was great, service was fantastic. Decor a little out dated yet charming. Little did we know this would be my last meal with my dad. He passed away last week. As we come in to town, my daughter and I will be coming to the Apple Peddler to eat and reminisce about dad.

Came for breakfast. Food was good but what we really appreciated was the awesome service. water and coffee showed up instantly and breakfast very soon after we ordered. the place was clean and the waitress genuinely nice as well as focused on quick and efficient service.

My wife and I ate here a few weeks ago for lunch. Food was mostly re-heated microwave fare. Service was sub par. My wife never got her toast and I didn't receive coleslaw. On the upside we only paid about half what we were supposed to because I didn't realize until we were in the car they had given us the wrong the check. It was an all around screw up.

The Apple Peddler was a pleasant surprise. My family decided to visit The Apple Peddler in White City for dinner. With a food allergy, Gluten-intolerant, we did not know where to go. The staff was very friendly and treated us like locals, and not tourist. The restaurant was and restrooms were clean. I would recommend The Apple Peddler if you are searching for great American Style Food with a great staff.

I've been to this place several times, having grown up in the area. And trust me, I understand that it's Apple Peddler, not a five star restaurant, or even close, so I'm never expecting a spectacular experience, but this was pretty bad. This review is for a couple nights ago when my boyfriend and I decided to get some food after a movie. First of all, it took about five minutes or so before we were seated, in a completely empty restaurant. It was around 10:30 or 11:00 PM, so I can understand that there's not someone up at the counter at all times, but it took much longer than it should have, even with that in mind. The waitress seemed angry that we were there, and motioned to a table that we could sit at--she had us walk through the employee area (idk what it's called, but it's where they make more coffee and bus dishes and everything. regardless, it was awkward). The major reason for the one star--worst service I've ever been given in my life, if you could call it service. I don't come on here very often to give a bad review--I mostly give good reviews to point people in the right direction. But this experience was downright horrifying. She wasn't wearing a nametag so I don't know what her name was. But she was a little older, with curly red hair. It seemed that every time we asked a question she rolled her eyes. She barely smiled at all, and when she did it was the kind of sarcastic smile that made me feel like she was going to smack us upside the head for invading her restaurant on a Friday night. When we were looking at the menu thinking about what we were going to order, I spotted a clam chowder breadbowl that sounded amazing. However, I had a suspicion that somehow, even though it said "available only on Friday," (and it was indeed Friday) she was going to tell me they did not have it. I asked, and surprise surprise, they did not have it. So I ordered the French dip, which was mediocre and dry. The fries were really good though, and probably the only good thing about the experience, other than the hot chocolate (don't ask why we ordered hot chocolate with our dinner, it was just one of those nights, haha!). To top it all off, we waited about 10 minutes at the counter to pay--not because of other customers, but because the waitress was nowhere to be found (similar to when we walked in). She finally showed up after the cook rang the bell a second time. Overall, one star for the fries and hot chocolate, but I would never, EVER send someone here if I knew they would be served by this waitress. I'm guessing the people who reviewed this place mentioning good service, were not served by this woman. She was mean.

This small chain of restaurants has constantly good cafe food. It shines best for breakfast though today I had the chiliburger with coleslaw. The chili was mild the serving size generous and the coleslaw okay. Service was quick and friendly as usual for this place.

Came here for breakfast today. Food was great. We ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs dish and the corned beef hash. I don't know why all restaurants feel the need to pour the gravy all over the eggs and hasbrowns...so I always order the gravy on the side. No matter where I go it's hit or miss if they remember. This place did so the get an automatic 3 stars. The last star is for the cleanliness, price, and service. They missed out on the 5th star because my eggs were easy instead of medium. I have that problem at many restaurants in the rogue valley. Great service on refills! I drink my iced tea really fast and my glass was never empty more than a minute. Great job guys!

Restaurant is clean. Service friendly, if a little slow. 10:30am and not very busy. Good bacon! My over medium eggs are over easy, and barely room temperature. The meaty bacon is cold. The dry wheat toast is warmer than the eggs and bacon! The coffee is plain, weak coffee. Next.

Had the pleasure to dine here Sunday, July 19th. The food was excellent, service superb and owner gracious. This restaurant is an independent Lyoness cashback merchant. Ask for your free cash back card when you dine at Apple Peddler in Medford.

Good homemade type food =}. For the older crowds it seems to be a hit. Consistently good, and always GREAT quality!
(3)Bill L.
Ate lunch there today and found it to be solid if uneventful food...like Dennys or an almost Shari's. Wait staff was fine and fully functional...but again uneventful (with isn't all bad!). I had the hash (canned style which I like) & eggs with biscuits & gravy side. It was fine though...uneventful. Wife had fajita salad and she found it fine too...you know the rest. A solid 3 star place.
(3)Bonnie W.
My friend and I met here for lunch and the service was terrible. There was no one waiting ahead of us to be seated, but we had to wait for over 5 minutes for someone to finally show up to seat us. Service was slow, the chef's salad was mediocre, I could never get the waitress to come back for a refill on my iced tea and we had to wait for the same waitress to finish a personal phone call before she could take the money for our bill. I have never had such terrible service in my life and won't be going back. I don't know how they stay open!!
(1)Ronny D.
Probably the worse chicken fried steak in the world. Service was slow, waitress brought wrong side and didn't even notice.
(1)Jeanne P.
Open 24 hours. Friendly service. But no soup after 11pm. They make their own jam and jelly. Looks clean. Home style cooking. Almost like Denny's but sweeter. Pies: chocolate, peanut butter, banana, strawberry, rhubarb, pecan, cherry, apple, blackberty, peach, lemon meringue. Cakes, too.
(4)Julie W.
It's a hit or miss, but if you tired and in white city this is the best choice! Breakfast is served anytime and it's good. The staff are hard working locals and always give a smile and are helpful. They happily make it go with all the napkins and utensils needed. I had a mushroom burger it was really good and would definitely recommend if your in a burger mood. The decor is modest and diner style with a counter to sit and watch the kitchen.
(3)Matt J.
Kids cheese and bean burrito sucked. Beans not fresh. My club which his really hard to mess up was ok. Fries where good. All in all the Walmart types that eat here wouldn't know the difference in good food.
(3)David N.
We stopped in on our way to the coast. Dinner response was varied. Diner quality seafood - nothing great nothing bad. Steak had to be smothered with steak sauce. Breakfast was solid. Dessert just came - huge!
